4 INTERESTING THINGS

ABOUT DOLPHINS!

 1. They're like you. Sure, dolphins live in the water and you live on land. And yes, they look more like fish than people. But dolphins are mammals, just as you are. So dolphins and people have lots of things in common, including being warm-blooded, breathing air with lungs, and nursing their young.

2. They come in lots of sizes. You're probably familiar with bottlenose dolphins (above). But there are more than 30 kinds of dolphins. The smallest are about as long as you are tall. And the biggest are almost as long as a school bus! You can't always tell a dolphin by its name: Orcas (killer whales), for example, belong to the dolphin family.

3. They're great athletes. Dolphins are acrobats. Maybe you've seen them at marine parks or aquariums, performing amazing flips and leaps. The most athletic dolphin of all is the dusky dolphin. Many dolphins leap out of the water as they swim.

4. Dolphins perform their gymnastics for a number of different reasons. Depending on the type of dolphins, they may do it to talk to each other/ communicate, to search for food,

or just to have fun.

CAPT. PETE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN FOR YOU!

The subtle hues of the morning light add pleasing elements to your pictures.  The birds, marine life - everything is in motion at that time of day and we hit the water early to catch a beautiful sunrise in order to get the best possible lighting for your photo safari!

When the rich, low-angled light spills warmly across the water and beach illuminating all the feather details and color of the birds...the blues and purples, oranges, reds and pinks of the sun rising over the water makes for the perfect photo opportunity!

But sunsets are great, too. A good sunset fires the sky with light that reflects off the water and with backgrounds like that, how can you miss taking beautiful photographs?
